GATORS FOR BUSINESS

2012 NETWORKING BREAKFASTS

The Gator Eight Networking Breakfasts are back for 2012!  If you haven't heard , the Gator Eight is a continuing series of networking breakfasts hosted by the Gators for Business arm of the Atlanta Gator Club.  The purpose of these breakfasts is to provide a forum in which our members can get to know each other, promote their businesses, and learn about the businesses of fellow Gators in the Atlanta area.  Participation is limited to eight Gators at each event so that there will be sufficient time to get to know a little something about everyone at the table.  The breakfast will last about an hour.  A moderator (a volunteer from among the eight participants) will facilitate a brief introduction by everyone at the table.  After those introductions, participants are encouraged to network and make to connections between and among each other where synergies are apparent.  Each Gator may want to bring business cards to share with the other participants.

If you would like to attend a Gator Eight Networking Breakfast, please contact Elaine Pelton at epelton@bfvlaw.com or William J. Piercy at bpiercy@bfvlaw.com or 404-261-7711.  Registration will be conducted on a first come, first serve basis.  Please do not simply show up at the breakfast without pre-registering.  This will help us ensure a more productive event. Registrants are encouraged to submit a one page bio or resume prior to the breakfast so that it can be shared with the other participants.

About Boyd Elementary School

Boyd Elementary School is an Atlanta Public School on a year-round calendar serving approximately 400 students from Pre-K to 5th grade. Boyd is a Title I school with almost 99% of students on the free/reduced lunch program.

The new administration at Boyd is excited to enhance this school and make a positive impact on the students. Teacher turnover is very low with 15 of the 17 classroom teachers at the school for 5+ years. The school faces the challenges of a low-income community, very transient families, and a large base of grandparents raising grandkids and appreciates the AGC help!

YOUNG ALUMNI EVENTS

ATLANTA GATORS GIVE BACK
OPT-IN LIST

Each month we receive information and details about a number of wonderful charities, fundraisers and community events that are being hosted or organized by Atlanta-area Gators.

While the mission of the Atlanta Gator Club does not permit the Club to directly sponsor these events, the Board realizes that many of our members would like to learn about and participate in these events.

To that end, the Atlanta Gator Club is creating a voluntary, opt-in email distribution list for those people who would like to know more about the wonderful activities and events going on in the Atlanta-area.

Every two or three weeks, an email will be sent just to the folks on that distribution list. If you would like to be included on this list, please CLICK HERE. To coordinators and sponsors, if you would like your event to be considered for inclusion on this list, please send the details along with your contact information to Please try to give at least 4 weeks advance notice of the event.

Thanks and Go Gators!
