Former Gator Basketball great Dan Cross, Founder & CEO of Athlete Connections

As the current Florida basketball team continues its run to the postseason, come hear former Gator basketball great & 1994 Final Four leader, Dan Cross, share his thoughts about Gator basketball, his UF experience, and what his life mission has become in helping student athletes enter the workforce following their athletic careers.  This is sure to be one session in the series that you won't want to miss!  Limited seats available.

Dan Cross is a former All American University of Florida basketball player, where he earned his bachelor's degree in Communications. As a member of the first team ever to advance to the Final Four in school history, Dan was inducted into the University of Florida's Athletic Hall of Fame in 2006. In 2007, Dan was awarded the Regions Bank Business salute which honors former student athletes from the South Eastern Conference who go on to run successful businesses. In 2008 he received the SEC Basketball Legends award and was honored as Orlando Business Journals top 40 under 40 business men. Dan is currently CEO of a non-profit organization called Athlete Connections. In addition, he does color commentary for University of Florida Basketball and runs youth fundamental basketball camps in the summer.

Dan played professionally in the U.S. minor leagues including the CBA, ABA, and USBL after unsuccessful tryouts in the NBA. He also played in countries such as Greece, Italy, Turkey, Finland, Cyprus, Venezuela, Dominican Republic, Israel and many others.

In 2006 Dan Cross founded Athlete Connections, a non-profit 501(c)3 organization that  provides life skill training to student-athletes, former and current, in their transition from sports to life after sports,” Its mission is to help prepare, educate and employ student athletes once their athletic careers are over.
