Atlanta Gator Club Scholarship Fund

The vast majority of the proceeds raised by the Atlanta Gator Club during the year go to fund recognition scholarships for Atlanta area students who will be attending the University of Florida as freshman the next academic year. Additionally, we award one or two sophomore scholarship renewals to previous recipients.

Our annual Scholarship Golf Tournament, the Bull Gator Raffle, and several silent auctions, as well as weekly viewing party raffles and football ticket raffles are events held each year to fund these scholarships.

In the Spring, the Club receives the names of Atlanta area high school students who have been accepted by the University of Florida. These students are sent letters inviting them to apply for our scholarship awards Following evaluation on a variety of criteria in the applications, recipients are usually announced at our annual Gator Gathering.

For the 2011-2012 academic year, the Atlanta Gator Club awarded over $30,000 in Scholarships, which denotes the greatest amount of money we have been able to disburse as well as the greatest number of students we've been able to aid.
