16th Annual Scholarship Golf Classic

Our Annual Scholarship Golf Tournament is Monday, Sept. 15, 2008. This is the off week for the Gator Football Team. We have a new location this year. The tournament will be at Horseshoe Bend Country Club in Roswell. The golf course features five holes along the historic Chattahoochee River, with more than two miles of beautiful river frontage.

Danny Wuerffel is our 2008 Honorary Chairman, and is scheduled to play. Danny is the Executive Director of Desire Street Ministries. Desire Street Ministries has recently relocated their executive offices to Atlanta. Danny led the Gators to four SEC championships and a National title. He also won 1996 Heisman trophy, and the Draddy award (for the nation's top student-athlete). For more information, visit http://www.desirestreet.org/.

We are also looking for volunteers to help on the Tournament Planning Committee. If you are interested in getting more involved please contact Audrey Skopitz at 678-570-8189 or golf@atlgators.com. Areas we need help: recruiting players/foursomes, securing donated items for goody bags and/or silent auction, securing donated food and beverage items for the tournament. Please note if you wish to just help the day of the event we will be sending out more information about that as the tournament gets closer. Right now we are recruiting for people who want to help plan the event only. Thank you!

GATOR EIGHT - NETWORKING BREAKFAST

 

The Gators for Business arm of the Atlanta Gator Club is hosting a continuing series of networking breakfasts so that our members can get to know each other, promote their businesses, and learn about the businesses of fellow Gators.  Participation will be limited to eight Gators at each event so that there will be sufficient time to get to know a little something about everyone at the table.  The breakfast will last about an hour and fifteen minutes.  A moderator (one of the eight who volunteer) will facilitate a brief introduction by everyone at the table.  After those introductions, participants are encouraged to network and make connections between and among each other where synergies are apparent. 

 

The frequency and location of the Gator Eight breakfasts will be limited only by the interest of our members.  The cost is limited to that of your breakfast.  The Gator Eight Networking Breakfasts will take place as follows:

Registrants will be asked to complete a brief biography and to submit the bio prior to the breakfast. Copies of each participant’s bio will be shared by email with the other participants prior to the breakfast. Please download the questions here!

If you would like to attend a Gator Eight Networking Breakfast, please contact Holly Sears at hsears@bfvlaw.com or 404-261-7711. Registration will be conducted on a first come first serve basis. Please do not simply show up at the breakfast without pre-registering. This will help us ensure that no more than eight Gators attend any one event.
